Our School

Admissions

Introduction

Minster Trust for Education (MITRE) acts as the admission authority for all its member schools.

All MITRE schools follow the Nottinghamshire County Council Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme for applications for intake at the "normal time" (starting primary school, moving to junior school, starting secondary school). For further information about the scheme and how to apply, follow the link below:

Before you apply | Nottinghamshire County Council

The school catchment area includes from the centre to the south of Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Children from outside the catchment area can be accommodated if spaces remain in the year group once all in-catchment area children have been accommodated.

Our PAN (Pupil Admission Number) has now been increased from 45 to 60 children.

In-Year Applications

From 1st September 2023 to 31st August 2024, in-year applications will continue to be managed by Nottinghamshire County Council.

From 1st September 2024, as a MITRE school, Kingsway Primary School will administer their own in-year admissions by direct application.  Please use the form below to make an application and return the form to the school.  The outcome of your application will be sent in writing within 15 school days.
