PSHE & SRE

At Kingsway Primary School, Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education, including Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), is taught through the Jigsaw programme. Jigsaw provides a structured, progressive approach that supports children’s emotional, social, and mental wellbeing from Foundation Stage to Year Six.

Through Jigsaw, pupils learn about relationships, health and wellbeing, safety, and their role in the wider world. Lessons encourage children to develop self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and respect for others, while providing a safe space for discussion and reflection.

PSHE and RSE support our Kingsway KIT values by promoting kindness, responsibility, independence, and perseverance. By developing confidence and emotional literacy, children are equipped with the skills they need to make positive choices, build healthy relationships, and make a positive difference in their lives and communities.
