MFL-Spanish

At Kingsway Primary School, learning Spanish helps children develop an interest in languages and an understanding of other cultures. Spanish is taught from an early stage and supports children in becoming confident communicators in an increasingly global world.

Through engaging and practical lessons, pupils learn to listen, speak, read, and write in Spanish. They build vocabulary, practise pronunciation, and use simple phrases to communicate ideas and information. Lessons are interactive and often include songs, games, stories, and conversations to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.

Spanish supports our Kingsway KIT values by promoting curiosity, resilience, and confidence. By learning a new language, children develop cultural awareness and skills that will support their learning both now and in the future.
