Geography
At Kingsway Primary School, Geography helps children understand the world around them and their place within it. Taught from Foundation Stage to Year Six, the subject encourages curiosity about places, people, and environments, both locally and globally.
Through a topic-based approach, pupils develop key geographical skills such as map work, fieldwork, and the use of geographical vocabulary. They explore physical and human features of the world and learn about important themes including sustainability and environmental change.
Geography supports our Kingsway KIT values by promoting curiosity, resilience, teamwork, and independence. By learning about different places and cultures, children become informed global citizens who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.
